The fruits, earth treasure

 

Enjoying a micro-climate and a favorable land for fruit culture, the produce 80 % fruits of Midi-Pyrénées, 420 000 tones. If today, the Chasselas de Moissac AOC, with bright grains, représent one of featured product of department, the plum remains the species most formerly cultivated for commercialization including the Reine-Claude "Label Rouge", a single variety of plum in South West in firm flesh , juicy, sun-drenched .

Fruit department, Tarn-et-Garonne produce Quercy Melon, Cherry of Moissac region, the hazelnuts, the apples, "Lomagne chestnut" and "Laguépie chestnut".

 
In prize list of french departments producters of fruits, the Tarn-et-Garonne is the best for table plums, the second one for hazelnuts, melon, table grape and the apple. He is also in the first five for the KIWIFRUIT and Cherries
